How Our Book Writers Forum Works

Our focus during our monthly sessions will be discussions related to sustaining your writing practice, as you actively submit your work. Additionally, an online Slack Forum will expand on both the monthly topics and additional related posts from Forum members, with categories which may include:

  • best practices for the writing life
  • publication strategies
  • finding inspiration in alternative forms (ekphrastic practice)
  • news on current writing related literature (books, blogs, various media)
  • various group sharing of relevant information
    • sharing opportunities and sources for information and inspiration
    • reporting on progress using tools, submissions, rejections/acceptances
    • examination of challenges with group discussion and participation
    • identifying helpful resources for maintaining practical and emotional stability
    • thinking about goal setting, setting routines, fitting writing into existing schedules
    • in-session exercises and suggested (optional) auxiliary writing related activity
