Biography
Tina Goodyear has been writing poetry and prose since she first learned to hold a pencil. Writing has been a central part of her 20-plus-year career in education and an integral part of her personal life. After attending a summer intensive workshop with the National Writing Project, her thinking about the teaching of writing changed dramatically—from a focus on the more mechanical aspects of writing to a focus on meaning-making, voice, and agency. She carries that philosophy forward in her teaching at local universities and in her work with Project Write Now. Tina holds a BA in English, an MS in Secondary English Education, and an EdD in Educational Leadership and Management.
