Biography

Michele Prestininzi is a children’s literature instructor at Project Write Now, a nonprofit writing organization. Michele holds an MFA in writing for children and young adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts and an MA in secondary education from Hofstra University. She has been published in Hopscotch magazine and won VCFA’s Candlewick Press Scholarship Award for Picture Books. Michele lives by the Jersey Shore with her husband and three kids. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, and too much chocolate. She is currently working on a middle grade novel and numerous picture books about family, creativity, and the power of love.
