Biography

James Hertler studied creative writing at the University of Rochester and writes fiction, short and long. His published work includes Florida (True Chili by Underwood Press), The Highest Bidder (The Mighty Line), and Ice Cream Man (Spank the Carp). His first novel is an upmarket contemporary fantasy about ghosts and arson and love. He’s preparing to query his second novel, MS VANILLA, a speculative thriller about an HR manager who recruits a team of elite luchadores to rob a depraved pharma billionaire.

James lives in Red Bank, NJ with his wife, two children, and Otto the dog. Once he owned a pool hall, but now he works at the lumberyard.
