book inc is committed to making our programs accessible to all writers
Our Commitment
book inc, a division of the nonprofit Project Write Now, is committed to providing full or partial scholarships and flexible payment plans for those writers who find the price of tuition a hindrance to their participation. We believe that financial circumstances should not be a barrier to nurturing your writing talent and pursuing your literary goals.
Note: All financial assistance information is kept strictly confidential and will be reviewed only to determine eligibility for aid.
Eligibility Requirements
The following requirements are necessary to receive financial assistance:
- Financial challenges
- Strong commitment to writing
- Ability to participate in the twice-monthly sessions and complete the program requirements
Program Requirements
Some of our programs have special requirements in order to apply for and receive financial assistance.
Applicants must commit to:
- Writing and sharing a 50,000 (minimum) word manuscript
- Participating in the Reading Rounds
Applicants must:
- Already have (at least) a 50,000 word draft of a memoir or novel ready to share with their cohort
- Be willing and able to participate in the Reading Rounds

Our scholarship program
We offer one full scholarship per program or several partial scholarships.
